Rohingyas must return Myanmar: Malaysian Foreign Minister

Malaysia's Foreign Minister Saifuddin Abdullah has said that the Rohingya who have taken shelter in Cox's Bazar of Bangladesh must return to Myanmar.  But their repatriation must be safe and voluntary.  He told reporters after visiting the Rohingya camp in Ukhia of Cox's Bazar on Sunday noon.

 The Malaysian Foreign Minister also said that Rakhine Rohingya will have the opportunity to move freely.  The issue of human rights and homelessness must also be ensured.  ASEAN countries continue diplomatic pressure and activities on Myanmar in the Rohingya issue.  He said that the ASEAN countries are very concerned about the Rohingya crisis.



 Malaysian Foreign Minister of the journalists at Ukhiyari Jamtali Camp said, "We have a clear picture that the Rohingyas have been massacred in Myanmar.  Ethnic elimination has been done.  Rohingya Muslims have been forced to flee to the border and flee to Bangladesh after being subjected to horrific torture.  They have been forced to take shelter in Cox's Bazar area.

 He said, the government of Bangladesh has established a unique example of humanity with the immediate shelter of Rohingya.  The Malaysian government has applauded.

 Malaysian Foreign Minister visited Malaysian Field Hospital in Uchaya early in the morning.  See the Rohingya medical service activities there.  During this time, he exchanged views with the doctors.  After that he visited Rohangi camp No. 17 at Palanghali.
 Later on at Jamtoli Rohingya Camp visited the camp.  There Mercy Malaysia, with a doctor at the hospital, exchanged views with the officials.  Later, he distributed relief material among Rohingya.



 He left Cox's Bazar in the afternoon.  Malaysian Foreign Minister Saifuddin Abdullah arrived in Bangladesh on Saturday for a three-day visit.
